DesignX's Transformational Project with The Krazy Coupon Lady Context: DesignX was approached by two influential founders of The Krazy Coupon Lady to overhaul their brand, marketing, and product design across all digital touchpoints due to a lack of in-house design resources. Problem: The challenge was to create user-friendly software that empowers millions with couponing while rejuvenating a leading brand in the couponing sector. Outcome: The talent at DesignX delivered, resulting in over a 50% increase in new user acquisition and achieving the #1 rank in the Apple App Store's Shopping category. The app maintains a 4.9-star rating with 84.2K reviews. Vision: The vision was to redesign all digital touchpoints for The Krazy Coupon Lady, making tools and content more accessible across devices and driving user acquisition and retention through efficient, free SaaS tools. Strategy and Research: DesignX's strategy encompassed an extensive research phase, looking at internal and external insights, competitive styles, and methods. The founders of The Krazy Coupon Lady played a key role in educating the team about couponing nuances. Design Process: The project included mind mapping the information architecture, understanding user personas, whiteboarding for rapid collaboration, and creating low-fidelity designs. Following user testing and a brand refresh exercise, high-fidelity designs were developed. Project Impact: The project encompassed various states, a full Design System, and responsive designs for iOS, Android, and web. This complete redesign of a multi-million dollar site significantly increased its usability and appeal. User Impact and Learnings: Beyond the app's success, the most impactful outcome was the positive user feedback, especially from those facing financial or personal challenges.
