Volvo Cars business model is steered by a digital-first mindset and it was this approach that spurred the luxury car manufacturer to embark on an ambitious transformation project. Volvo Cars sought to redefine the way people experienced its brand online and in doing so drive commercial performance. The digital transformation project delivered by Avanade addressed a wide range of challenges and the results so far have been profound. Volvo Cars met its objective of becoming the leading digital innovator in the automotive industry.
Avanade re-defined how people experienced the brand, engaging visitors with beautiful design and fast loading images and driving commercial performance. Winner of Best use of Sitecore as Digital Experience Platform (DXP) in 2018. Differentiated the customer experience by showcasing new experiences to engage customers in new ways:

As part of this project, Avanade activated two Sitecore features:
Personalization: Implemented Avanade IP to allow tracking the customer interaction and performing Sitecore personalization
to function on a fully cached site.
Geo-location: Implemented custom geo-location functionality to improve the customer experience by providing location-relevant content and removing data entry and clicks from the customer.
This led to a 48% growth in site visits in 12 months, a 207% increase in website leads, and a 7% global sales increase using the new digital platform.
