Project Overview
THE CHALLENGE:
Affirm wanted to create a summer campaign that illustrated how customers could easily and cost-effectively realize the stylish backyard of their dreams. Enlisting supermodel Ashley Graham and celebrity designer Mikel Welch, the campaign goals included a press-worthy renovation of Graham’s backyard, an Affirm retail partner surprise-and delight stunt, and a press and influencer event.
SOLUTION:
We produced a professionally-staged photoshoot of Graham’s Welch-designed backyard featuring products from Affirm partners including Pottery Barn, Amazon and Studio McGee. In addition we coordinated and produced an in-store Pottery Barn “Surprise and Delight” campaign where Ashley Graham paid for unsuspecting customers’ purchases with her Affirm card. The campaign finale included glamorous SoHo summer soiree hosted by Graham and Welch for top press and influencers at a Buzzy Soho restaurant with a backyard scene cocktail party complete with branded lawn games and a full custom tablescape.
RESULTS:
Graham’s backyard shoot resulted in coverage by Architectural Digest and People Magazine.The Pottery Barn “Surprise and Delight” experience was featured on Access Hollywood. The Summer Soiree was attended documented by nearly 30 high profile lifestyle editors and influencers.Client
