Project Overview
We are all very much defined by what we say, and the words we use to express ourselves. And today - through texts, and tweets, and emails, and blogs and the like - our thoughts and words are shared more frequently, and more broadly, then ever before.
This truth is what inspired the campaign we created for the launch of the new American Heritage Dictionary.
"You Are Your Words"
To bring this idea to life in a fun, interactive way, people were invited to a website where they could create a portrait of themselves using the words they felt best illustrated who they were. Over 80,000 unique portraits were created by people who visited the site, each using words from tweets, posts, blogs, song lyrics - whatever each person felt best defined who they were.
The portraits were a powerful reminder of how important words are in defining each and every one of us - which, in turn, served as a powerful reminder of the value of the American Heritage Dictionary. Client
