Project Overview
Transparency International is an international NGO whose purpose is to take action to combat corruption. Sherlock was commissioned to create a video about Operação Lava Jato (Operation Car Wash). Operação Lava Jato began as a local money laundering investigation and has since grown into the largest investigation in Brazil’s history. Dealing with one of the world’s biggest corruption scandals, the Petrobras case, state prosecutors have investigated, prosecuted, and obtained heavy sentences against some of the most powerful members of Brazil’s economic and political elites. In an extended filming process, Sherlock interviewed all the key players, including the operation’s figurehead, Judge Sérgio Moro – the only agency interview he has ever granted!Client
