Project Overview
It’s easy to forget that tablets and touch screens are a relatively young technology and somewhat of a curiosity to people. One person sharing theirs with a friend to experience and play with on their own for the first time is a powerful moment any brand would love to be part of. Unfortunately for Samsung, the experience that all too many are sharing comes from an iOS device.
Without a competitively smaller user base, we needed to recreate that powerful moment of sharing for people around the world through Samsung’s devices and do it through a universal language: sport.
We paired with ESPN to create 12 webisodes focusing on athletes and their sports and demonstrating how teamwork and Samsung technology helps them achieve success. From the Dutch beach volleyball team and Jamaica’s famed track stars preparing for their shot at Olympic gold, to “freerunners” practicing Parkour among the ancient ruins of Morocco, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 Client
