Project Overview

Pepsi challenged Mekanism to amplify their ownership of the Super Bowl Halftime Show by bridging the gap between traditional and emerging media. Millennials don't want to passively view Super Bowl advertising, they want to be part of it. So Mekanism invited everyone to star in the countdown to Beyonce's performance on the world's biggest stage. Getting the world involved proved to be what the fans wanted. Over 120,000 people submitted content. Additional results included 5.5 billion total impressions. 2.2 million video views. 19 selected influencers networks reached 20 million people, and Pepsi's sentiment surpassed Coca Cola's for a 48 hour period – the first time in history.
