Hot yoga is a niche of a niche market, with many studios competing for a small slice of the overall health & fitness pie. We changed BYR's marketing strategy from share conquest to category expansion, promoting how Bikram Hot Yoga helps people lose weight, build strength, reach target heart rate, etc., faster. Eight-page color ads ran weekly in the local alternative paper during the first quarter. Sales were up 9%, 10% and 13% during each of those three months. Client
